The Harlow Pillow is a 20″ textured throw pillow cover built from two stitches that have absolutely no business looking this good together. Moss stitch and a modified puff stitch trade off across the front panel in stripes until you have something that photographs like you dropped real money on it.
The back panel is all moss stitch because it’s faster, nobody flips a pillow over to inspect the construction, and you’ve earned the easier half by the time you get there. Stuff a 22″ insert inside the finished cover (not a 20″, a 22″) so it sits plump and substantial instead of sad and slightly collapsed.
This is brave beginner territory, which means multiple things are happening at once. Color changes, two separate panels getting joined together, an optional crab stitch border that looks intimidating until you actually do it. None of those things are hard on their own. They’re just new, and new feels like hard until it suddenly doesn’t.
