Hello, I’m Amber, the yarn covered owner behind Craft-a-Boo!
Why am I here? One reason, I’m passionate about handmade items, crochet, and crafting and I want to inspire you to get in touch with your inner creative junkie.
My biggest goal for you while you’re here is to have a creative “aha!” moment. Leaving my site with excitement about creating your next project is a dream come true for me!
A few life twists came to pass, and I no longer had access to my quilting studio. Needing a creative outlet, I picked up my yarn and hooks again. I discovered how much I enjoyed creating things for other people and expressing my inner creative junkie!
Crochet has become a way to express myself during life’s ups and downs. I absolutely love creating a wonderful piece and seeing it brighten someone’s life. Getting to be a part of someone’s story is why I do what I do!
I am completely obsessed with historical Netflix Documentaries, all kinds of yarn (the softer the better…can I pet it? No? Is that too weird? Okay fine…), Diet Coke, and anything coconut flavored. I’m also in love with passing on my passion for crochet to all of you.
He’s hilarious, goofy, deeply spiritual, caring, lighthearted and my favorite human on this earth. He’s an extremely talented bass guitar player, and I love going to his gigs and watching him play.
My other half and I met online in 2004, way before meeting online was “the thing”.
I lived in Utah, he lived in Tennessee, and we had a long distance friendship for three years before we finally met in person and decided to get married.
We’ve been married since 2007 and I have loved going back and forth between his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee and my home state of Utah.
We love listening to all kinds of music, watching movies, arcades, adventures, road trips and fur babies.
My favorite things to crochet and create are by far, baby blankets! I love using a full rainbow color pallette when designing patterns. I adore blankets with lots of texture, and the softer the yarn the happier I am.
I am so glad you stopped by, and I sincerely hope you enjoyed what you found.
If you have any questions about any of the patterns I have listed, confusion about a technique I’ve described, or would just like to say hi, please feel free to drop me a note at amber(at)craftaboo(dot)com.
I reply to every single email.
Thanks for hanging out with me!
