Description
This blanket started as a graduation gift for a LEGO-obsessed brother in 2016, went semi-viral about a year later, and has been causing problems for people’s yarn budgets ever since.
The whole thing is block-based, which sounds intimidating until you realize each block is just 3.5″ x 5″ of yarn and one very satisfying puff stitch that makes it look like an actual LEGO brick. You make blocks. Then more blocks. Then you sew them together and suddenly you have a blanket that makes every brick loving kid in a 50-foot radius lose their mind.
The size is completely up to you.
The pictured blanket size is approximately 48″ x 60″ using 168 blocks and about 7 skeins of worsted weight yarn. Make more blocks, get a bigger blanket. Make fewer, get a lap blanket.
